“The view out the windows of the room is stunning. The town is very close and has many places for having a meal. I really enjoyed the breakfast and the chats with Mary and Tim. Cottage Heights is a perfect starting point to explore the Beara peninsula.’

“Mary was very helpful. I initially booked for one night but stayed three. It is very clean and safe during the pandemic and they follow all the regulations. The WiFi is excellent. The breakfasts are delicious. Mary made breakfast early one morning so I could catch the 9am ferry to Bere Island. I would definitely like to stay here again.”

“First class accommodation in the beara peninsula. Mary looked after all our needs and always had time for a chat. A most genuine host and if we are ever in the area again will almost certainly stay here. No negatives. Thanks Mary.”

“Everything about this accommodation was excellent: the location, the fantastic view, the large room, the introductory chat with the proprietor about Covid house rules. The adherence to the regulations was obvious, and that was extremely reassuring. The atmosphere was warm and friendly. It is conveniently located for travel around the Beara peninsula and other parts of West Cork. I will definitely be back – now that I know that I can take my car onto Bere Island!”
